Online ABC of Human Rights
To mark the 60th anniversary of the adoption of the Geneva Conventions, Switzerland joined together with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in organizing an international conference in Geneva on 9 and 10 November 2009 under the title “60 Years of the Geneva Conventions and the Decades Ahead”. The goal was to strengthen respect for International Humanitarian Law and to enhance the protection provided to victims of armed conflict. Conference documents and outcomes are now available in the form of a PDF document.

Every 4 years the National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, their International Federation, the ICRC and the 194 States party to the Geneva Conventions hold an International Conference. The 30th Conference took place on 26 to 30 November 2007, in Geneva, at the International Conference Center (CICG).
