On this site, the Embassy of Switzerland in Khartoum aims to present some basic information and services to all those interested in Switzerland as well as to our fellow Swiss citizens living or travelling in the Sudan and Eritrea.

I hope these pages will constitute a useful source of information with regard to my country as well as to the activities of this Embassy and the services which it is able to offer.

You will find information about Switzerland, in particular its population, geography, history, environment, economy, science, politics and culture, as well as about my host country, Sudan, e.g. some key data or about the bilateral relations between both countries. Swiss citizens living in Sudan or Eritrea, as well as travelling in both countries might be interested in our tips for Swiss living abroad. Finally, for Sudanese and Eritrean citizens who wish to enter Switzerland, there are pages describing in details the visa requirements.
