Bilateral relations between Switzerland and Togo

Switzerland recognized Togo’s independence in 1960 and established diplomatic relations with the young country that same year. Despite a number of bilateral treaties (trade, investment protection, technical cooperation, civil aviation), economic exchange remained modest.
