Visas for people residing in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar
Starting from March 1st, 2012, the Swiss Embassy will assign the task of making an appointment and accepting the applications to TLScontact * (TELESMART International) company. As from this date, all visa applications will have to be submitted at the following location:
TLScontact (12/1, 12th Floor, Sathorn City Tower, 175 South Sathorn Road, Khwaeng Thungmahamek, Khet Sathorn, Bangkok 10120).
On 11 October 2011 the Schengen member states introduced the Visa Information System (VIS). The VIS will store the biometric data (10 fingerprints and facial image) of all visa applicants. The diplomatic representations of the Schengen member states will gradually be connected to the system region by region.
Along with the connection to the VIS on 14 November 2013 all diplomatic representations of the Schengen member states in Thailand will have to capture the biometric data of all persons applying for Schengen visas above the age of 12.
As in the past all appointments for the submission of application files must be booked with our external service provider TLScontact via the following website: TLScontact. The telephone information service of TLScontact is available as follows: 02 696 38 99, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (only calls from within Thailand can be accepted). An auto-information-service in several languages is available around the clock.
Application files have to be submitted to TLScontact on the day of the appointment at the following address:
12/1, 12th Floor, Sathorn City Tower
175 South Sathorn Road
Khwaeng Thungmahamek, Khet Sathorn
Applicants who do not wish to submit their applications to TLScontact may continue to submit them directly to the Consular Centre. However, it is still necessary to make an appointment through TLScontact in advance.
Important notice: If no appointment has been made in advance, neither TLScontact nor the Regional Consular Center will accept the application.
After submission of the complete visa application at TLScontact it is compulsory for the applicant to proceed to the
Regionales Konsularcenter Bangkok
c/o Embassy of Switzerland
35 North Wireless Road
for the registration of his biometric data. For this purpose the applicant is given an appointment by TLScontact. As a general rule such appointments will be within a time frame of 1 ½ - 2 hours after the submission of the file to TLS.
Should an applicant miss his/her time slot at the Consular Center for the registration of his biometric data, the application file will be returned to TLScontact and the visa fee will be reimbursed. Should the applicant wish to resubmit the application, a new TLS appointment with a subsequent appointment at the Consular Center will have to be booked.
Children below the age of 12 are not required to present themselves at the Consular Center for the registration of the biometric data.
Visas for people resident in MYANMAR, CAMBODIA OR LAO PDR
For the time being and until further notice the Regional Consular Center (RCC) in Bangkok will issue visas and capture the biometric data of persons applying for a Schengen ’’C’’ visa.

If the file is in order a visa can be issued the same day. For long term visas ’’D’’ the visa file can be submitted at our Embassy in Myanmar, at the Honorary Consulate in Cambodia or at the Honorary Consulate at Lao PDR. Applicants residing in Myanmar, Cambodia and Lao PDR are requested to check this Website for an update regularly.
