How to apply for a visa:

• a) You can apply in person at the Embassy by appointment only, by calling the premium rate number 09065771222 (£1.50 per minute). Afterwards, the application has to be submitted at the Embassy of Switzerland, 16-18 Montagu Place, London W1H 2BQ. Appointments between 09.00 and 10.00 h only
• b) You can use the drop-box facilities (see website:  http://ch.vfsglobal.co.uk). For appointments, in order to avoid a long wait, please click  http://ch.vfsglobal.co.uk/Appointment.aspx For additional information please call 0871 3760023 (free of charge) 08.30–17.30 Mon–Fri.
• c) You can apply by post only by using one of the visa/travel agencies – see "Postal application" on the right-hand side of this webpage. Please note that applications sent directly to the Embassy will be returned to sender.
• d) For inquiries/appointments regarding work and resident permits, student and spouse visas only, please go to the website  www.swissembassy.org.uk – visa and link “inquiries”, fill in the form and send it off.

Important: Please note that visa applications can only be accepted at the Embassy by prior appointment through the Swiss Visa Centre on the premium rate number 0906 577 1222 from Monday to Friday between 08.30 h and 17.30 h.
