Important notice

On 27 November 2008 the Council of the European Union decided in Brussels that the Schengen and Dublin Association Agreements will be fully implemented for Switzerland as of Friday, 12 December 2008.

From that date travellers holding valid Schengen visas are accepted to enter Switzerland.

The Embassy of Switzerland will issue Schengen visas from 15 December 2008 onwards. All persons who wish to apply for a visa will have to make an appointment by calling the following premium rate number: 0906 577 1222 (£1.50 per minute).
