Registration and Change of Address
Dear Swiss citizens,
Welcome to those who have been granted residency in Albania or Kosovo.
Regular contact between Swiss expatriates and the Regional Consular Centre in Pristina has benefits for both parties. Swiss nationals who settle in Albania or Kosovo should therefore report to the Regional Consular Centre in Pristina for registration. This formality provides the basis for consular services such as the issue of passports and identity cards, records of changes in civil status, optional membership of the AHV state pension scheme, exercising the right to vote in Swiss elections, etc.
However, even if you are staying for less than a year, we would appreciate your notifying us of your stay within our consular district.
We endeavour to offer high-quality services, but we cannot do so without your support. So that we can keep our records up to date at all times, please inform us promptly of the following changes:
- change of address, telephone number and/or e-mail address
- if you leave our consular district
- changes in civil status
The registration form is available online (see right). Please complete and sign it properly, and hand it in at the counter of the Regional Consular Centre. At the same time, we would ask you to present the Swiss passports and identity cards of all members of your family, as well as your certificate of nationality. If you are not in possession of these documents, please obtain a certificate of civil status or family certificate, depending on your family circumstances.
Once registered, you will receive the Revue Suisse on a regular basis. This publication contains important and useful information on changes in the law: AHV/IV, citizenship, political rights, etc. We wish you a pleasant stay. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like further information.
The Team at the Regional Consular Centre in Pristina.
