The Science and Education Unit is part of the Economic Affairs and Science Division of the Embassy headed by Mr. Jacques Derron.

Switzerland and Russia have long standing relations in the fields of science and education and are well-known world-wide for excellence in research.

Since 2007 the Russian Federation has been a priority country for Switzerland in its foreign S&T policy.

The ultimate goal of the Science and Education Unit is to promote Switzerland in Russia as a scientifically attractive partner and, likewise, support Russia's scientific endeavors in Switzerland by facilitating joint research projects, academic exchange, scholarship programs as well as bilateral scientific and educational events.

The Unit also acts as an information hub on the education and sience systems of both countries to educate the general public about opportunities available in Switzerland and Russia.
