Starting from November 1, 2013, visa applications for Swiss Schengen visas must be submitted through our outsourcing agency TLScontact, which will then forward the visa applications from their application centers in Istanbul and Ankara to the Consulate General in Istanbul for further processing.
(The Visa Section at the Embassy in Ankara will be closed as of November 1, 2013).
TLScontact is operating two application centers:
Istanbul: Profilo Shopping Mall, Gulbahar Mah. 5 Yil Sok. N°1D, Sisli/Istanbul
Ankara: Sheraton Hotel, Congress and Cultural Center, on ground level of Boğaz Sokak, Gaziosmanpasa/Ankara
Further information can be found on the website of TLScontact.
As of now, to set up an appointment, please contact TLScontact through their website or call-center:
Tel. +90 (0)212 370 31 00, Monday to Friday, from 08:30 – 12:30 and 13:30 – 16:30.
The visa application can be submitted at the earliest 3 months and at the latest 15 days before the scheduled journey.
Applicants who already received a Swiss visa do not need to appear in person for the appointment unless requested.
In certain well justified cases (accident, death, medical treatment, and other unforeseen circumstances) a fast-track appointment can be requested by contacting the Visa Section of the Consulate General in Istanbul directly with detailed information about the emergency.
Applicants who do not wish to submit their application to TLScontact may continue to submit them directly to this Consulate General. However, it is necessary to make an appointment through TLScontact in advance.
If no appointment has been made in advance, neither TLScontact nor this Consulate General will accept the application.
On the right side of this webpage you will find the visa application form, detailed information about required documents, and general information about the various visa types for downloading and printing.

Holders of Turkish diplomatic or special passports can travel visa free for stays up to a maximum of 90 days within 6 months if the journey is not subject to authorization.
In order to encourage bilateral trade relations between Switzerland and Turkey, members of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey have the following advantages when applying for a visa:
- Quick buildup of long term multiple entry visa
- Quick handling of the application (usually the passport can be collected the next working day)
- Fewer supporting documents needed
The rules apply for Swiss Chamber of Commerce members (and employees of member companies) who travel on business to Switzerland and have already stayed at least once in the Schengen Area.
For further information about the application process, please download our leaflet.
When submitting a visa application, applicants need to provide a letter of recommendation from the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey. To obtain this letter, please contact:
