Embassy Kiev

Current political situation

Dear Compatriots,

It is advised to defer all travels to the following regions: Crimean Peninsula, Luhans’k and Donets’k.

Swiss citizens who are already in the regions of Donets’k and Luhans’k are advised to leave temporarly by their own means, if it appears safe to do so. In case of violence in your region, the possibilities of the Swiss Embassy in Kyiv to assist you might be limited or, in the worst case, nonexistent. The decision to leave remains an individual one. In case you decide to leave, please inform the Embassy about this decision and about your whereabouts.

Recommendation for other regions in Ukraine: be careful in public places and keep away of any political demonstrations. Keep yourself informed through the media before and during your travel about the evolution of the situation.
Contact the Embassy +380 44 281 61 28 or the Helpline of the FDFA in Berne +41 (0)800 24 7 365 in case you need assistance.

The Swiss Embassy in Kiev will stay closed on 16 October, 2014.

Посольство Швейцарії в Києві буде закрите для відвідувачів 16 жовтня 2014 року.
