The Division for Economic Affairs and Communication of the Consulate General, in cooperation with the Embassy of Switzerland in Washington, monitors economic and financial markets in the New York area. It closely follows the developments and regulations in the local financial industry, particularly with regard to the needs and interests of Switzerland and Swiss companies.

In cooperation with the Swiss Business Hub USA, member of Osec Business Network Switzerland, the Consulate General assists Swiss companies in doing business on the East Coast of the United States. Furthermore, and together with Location Switzerland, the Consulate General supports the promotion of Switzerland as a foreign investment and business location.

The Division for Economic Affairs and Communication is also closely linked to the New York Chapter of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce and participates in the Chamber’s program activities.
