The Consular and Administrative Services Section of the Embassy and the Consulates act as links between the Swiss residing in the consular districts and their home country: they register newly-arrived Swiss citizens, issue passports and other documents of identification. They also issue visas for U.S. residents travelling to Switzerland when necessary.
