The Police Liaison Office acts as an advisory desk for the Ambassador on security matters. The Office also assists Swiss and US Law Enforcement and Justice officials in the exchange of information and knowledge in order to guarantee an efficient flow of information between the two countries. The Police Attaché is an officer of the Swiss Federal Criminal Police, an agency whose main goal is the fight against terrorism and its financing, money laundering, organized crime, illegal drug and weapon trafficking, and other serious offenses where close contacts and cross-border relations are very important.
