The subjects of the environment, transport and energy are closely interlinked. Like health, they are enormously important to Switzerland.

International factors are becoming increasingly important in this connection. It is in the interests of Switzerland to identify existing challenges at an early stage and to do everything that can be done to meet them.

The Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) is responsible for this task. The FDFA cooperates closely with specialist departments, coordinating Switzerland’s international commitment and contributing expert knowledge in individual areas.
