Switzerland takes part in the international reporting procedure to monitor progress towards the goals of the 2030 Agenda. To this end, the Federal Council draws up a country report to the UN in the middle of each legislative period. Switzerland’s first country report was presented to the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) in 2018.
Country report to the UN
The report is based on a comprehensive and participative baseline assessment undertaken by the federal government and gives a short overview of the most important conclusions.
The baseline assessment provides an overview of the current progress towards achieving the goals of the 2030 Agenda in Switzerland and Switzerland's contribution to global implementation. It also identifies the key challenges and opportunities for achieving the SDGs by 2030. In addition to the federal government's analysis, the baseline assessment includes the perspectives of non-state actors from business, civil society and the scientific community.
