Civil Society and Human Rights Network CSHRN

Project completed

The overall objective of CSHRN in the third phase is to further contribute to the establishment of a strong human rights movement as well as to strengthen the rule of law and respect for human rights in Afghanistan. This signifies a continuation of the overall objective of the previous phase that was found to be still valid by CSHRN as well as the mentioned review. The focus of CSHRN's work will lie on further raising the general understanding of human rights, in particular women's and children's rights, to increase its activities in remote areas and to strengthen the dialogue on human rights with all stakeholders. There will be an increased concentration on human rights monitoring and advocacy. Becoming stronger involved in advocacy will allow the network to gain more direct influence on the development of the human rights situation. Moreover, the institutional strengthening of CSHRN will be further enhanced in this phase.
