The Embassy of Switzerland in Armenia started the new year of cultural events with the screening of a unique movie. “Voices of Light”, by film director Hrant Vardanyan, is about the 2016 tour to Switzerland of the world known Little Singers of Armenia Choir. The movie shows Armenia’s unique talent in music against the background of a receptive and thankful Switzerland.

The screening took place on 30th of January 2017, in one of the best and high end cinema theaters of Yerevan, the Kino Park of Yerevan Mall.

Based on the feedbacks of the numerous guests of the evening, the efforts to show Switzerland from the viewpoint of the Armenian film producer and the story behind it was highly appreciated by the public.

In his words of introduction, the Ambassador of Switzerland, Lukas Gasser, underlined: “It is a very special movie about our two countries, Armenia and Switzerland. And it also portrays a non-typical, unexpected side of my country, Switzerland. Armenia’s genius, Armenia’s art is not lost on Switzerland, and Switzerland in this movie shows the best of its hospitability.”

The movie “Voices of Light” was realized with the help of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, the Tsarukyan Charity Foundation and the Arev Film studio.
