The German Embassy in Yerevan, the Embassy of Switzerland in Armenia and the Embassy of Austria in Armenia will join their efforts, for the first time, to organise the German Language Days in Armenia, from 14.09.2016 to 03.10.2016.
On Septemeber 13th, the Ambassador of Germany Mr. Mathias Kiesler, the Ambassador of Switzerland Mr. Lukas Gasser and the representative of the Embassy of Austria in Armenia Mr. Moriz Lenglachner announced the launch of the series of events within the framework of the German Language Days, that include reading sessions, film screenings, as well as musical events and club quiz. The full program of events was presented during the press conference.
This is the first time the German Language Days are organised in Armenia.
The Embassy of Switzerland in Armenia is participating to these events with the screening of the prize winning film “Heidi” (2015) by Swiss film director Alain Gsponer, and with the presentation of the Armenian translation of the same name novel “Heidi” by Swiss novelist Johanna Spyri, in cooperation with the Franz Werfel library in Armenia and Zangak Publishing house.
