Construction of Cyclone Shelters in the frame of the DRR Programme in cyclone “Sidr” affected areas in Bangladesh
Project completed
The project will make it possible to construct 5 additional multi-purpose cyclone shelters, bringing the total of cyclone shelters financed by Switzerland up to 12 units and to contribute to the protection of a total of 16’000 people. By actively involving the benefit-ting community in the process of project design and the identification of the best location, SDC aims at optimizing the use of the shelters in times of both disasters and normal life
