How does comics storytelling engage with history on both sides of the Atlantic? Held as part of the "Au-delà des 2 solitudes" conference, the public roundtable "Bulles d’histoire : l’histoire en BD – Une comparaison Québec–Suisse" (in French) explores how Québécois and Swiss comic artists approach historical narratives through the lens of the ninth art.
Matthieu Gillabert, professor of history at the University of Fribourg and co-director of the Centre d’étude sur le Québec et la Francophonie (CEQF), will share his perspective on the relationship between historical storytelling and comic art.
