MdM Prévention grosses à risque
The project addresses pregnant women, newborns and women suffering from fistula in the region of Kanem. It aims at improving access to qualitative health services for pregnant women and women suffering from complications, thus reducing maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality. The project is based on two axes: 1) the technical and human support of the regional hospital and the existing health centres as well as the improvement of the referral system, and 2) the social mobilisation of the communities through local NGOs, associations and traditional midwifes in order to achieve a behaviour change.
