Otto Meister, a Swiss engineer and pioneer who worked at the Yunnan section of the Yunnan Vietnam Railway from 1903 to 1909, one of the most spectacular railway projects of the past century. He later transferred to Shanghai where he inaugurated the new representative of the Sulzer company.
The 1-month exhibition will present photos, private correspondence and other historic records in the Kunming City Museum in association with the Kunming authorities and the granddaughter of Otto Meister among others. The event also celebrates the 35th anniversary of the Sister City relations between Zurich and Kunming.
