Background Iran remains one of the world’s largest refugee hosting countries. It’s ongoing deportations and strained social services have left many Afghan adolescents and female-headed households, along with vulnerable members of host communities, with limited access to education, livelihoods, and protection.
Objectives Contribute to the well-being and development of Afghan children on the move and their households in Iran by addressing key determinants of their quality of life and enhancing their resilience to disasters and emergencies.
Target groups

• 50 Technical and Vocational Training Society Organization staff and volunteers; and 120 Technical and Vocational Training instructors.

• 1000 parents of adolescents (including 200 Afghan refugees); 4900 adolescents (including 950 Afghan refugees); 800 female-heads of households (including 400 Afghan refugees); and 1000 households with enhanced disaster preparedness capacities (including 200 Afghan refugee households).

Medium-term outcomes To improve access to skills development opportunities and employment, and enhance resilience to disasters for Afghan and host community adolescents and female heads of households and their households in Iran.
Results

Expected results:   Afghan and host community adolescents and young female heads of households have enhanced employability and disaster resilience capabilities through improved access to quality skills development opportunities, as well as emergency preparedness and response trainings and resources.
