Programme Development North Africa

Project completed

After the revolutionary changes in North Africa, the Federal Council decided on 11 March 2011 that various Swiss government agencies, notably the Office for Migration (OFM), the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the Political Directorate (PD) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) would reinforce or renew their engagement in North Africa. Meanwhile, the Programme Document North Africa 2011 – 2016 has been drafted as a joint operational framework for all projects and activities of the involved Federal Offices. In 2011, a number of programmes and projects could be identified, but programme development continues in 2012. The aim of the present proposal secures the required funding for respective project identification missions.
