Local as well as foreign media representatives attended a reception organized under aegis of the Swiss Ambassador to Georgia, H.E. Lukas Beglinger. It was a meeting of an unprecedented format when the radio, TV and online media journalists received comprehensive information on Swiss interventions in Georgia. The topics ran the gamut from agricultural projects implemented by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC to the meditating role that Switzerland plays between Georgia and Russia.

H.E. Lukas Beglinger presented to the journalists a recently-launched Swiss Cooperation Strategy 2017-2020 for the South Caucasus. The document defines key areas of invervention for the coming four years.

A lengthy exchange between the media representatives and the Ambassador was a palpable signal that the meeting stirred up interest in Switzerland's activities in the country.

The Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia will continue to organize such meetings providing the media with first-hand information on Switzerland's engagement in Georgia.
