Louis-José Touron, currently head of mission in Mexico City, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Ireland.
Eric Mayoraz, currently head of mission in Abuja, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the United Mexican States and to Belize, based in Mexico City.
Benedict Gubler, currently head of mission in Luanda, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the State of Kuwait.
Jürg Burri, currently director (with the title of ambassador) of the Consular Directorate in Bern, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Poland and to the Republic of Belarus, based in Warsaw.
Johannes Matyassy, currently head (with the title of ambassador) of the Asia and Pacific Division (APD) of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern, will become director (with the title of ambassador) of the Consular Directorate in Bern.
Benno Laggner, currently expert in security policy and chair of the Nuclear Suppliers Group (with the title of ambassador) at the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the OSCE, the United Nations and the International Organisations in Vienna, will become Switzerland's new resident representative / permanent representative (with the title of ambassador) to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty in Vienna.
Daniel Klingele, currently deputy director (with the title of ambassador) and head of the Division for Political Affairs of the Directorate for European Affairs (DEA) in Bern, will become the new deputy director and head of Division I (Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Diplomatic and Consular Law) of the Directorate of International Law. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.Raphael Nägeli, currently deputy head of the Human Security Division of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern, will become the new head of the Asia and Pacific Division of the same directorate. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.
Stefan Estermann, currently head of mission in Zagreb, will become the new head of the Sectoral Foreign Policies Division of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.
Stefan Flückiger, currently head (with the title of ambassador) of the Sectoral Foreign Policies Division of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern, will become the new head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) in Bern. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador. The Federal Council has also authorised him to use the title of Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements.
Térence Billeter, currently deputy head of mission in Amman, will become the new head of Diplomatic Advisory Services at the Presidential Affairs Unit of the Communications and Strategy Sector of the Federal Chancellery in Bern. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.
Yannick Roulin, currently head of the International Organisations and Host Country Policy Section of the United Nations and International Organisations Division (UNIOD) of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern, will become the new head of the Host Country Division of the Permanent Mission of Switzerland to the United Nations Office and to the other international organisations in Geneva. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.
