The call for applications to the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for foreign students is open since the 1st of August, and closes on the 15th of October 2016. You can request the application package by email, if you write to bud.vertretung@eda.admin.ch.
Before requesting the package, please read the information on the different types of scholarships for Hungarians on the website of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation.
Based on the federal law from the 19th of July 1987 about awarding scholarships to Students and artists from foreign countries and the act from the 30th of January 2013 the Swiss confederation offers scholarships for the academic year 2016-2017.
The academic research scholarships aim to support the young academics and the research activities in the countries that are eligible. This is why the scholarships are meant for PhD Students in foreign countries, who want to research in Switzerland (Research Scholarship), PhD Students in Switzerland (PhD Scholarships) and postdoc researchers in Switzerland (Postdoctoral Scholarships). Master scholarships are only available in the field of arts, and only in 26 countries, Hungary being one of them.
