Visit to Hungary by the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council

A delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council paid an information-gathering visit to Austria and Hungary from 23 to 27 October.

On 25 October the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council arrived to Budapest to conduct conversations with representatives of politics, economy and education. The program included meetings with the Deputy State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Kristof Altusz, and with the delegation’s Hungarian counterparts headed by Zsolt Németh. Furthermore, a courtesy visit to the vice president of the Hungarian parliament, István Jakab, took place. The delegation had the chance to discuss educational questions with representatives of the German-language Andrássy University. The trip was concluded by a visit to Stadler Rail in Szolnok, where insights into economical aspects of a Swiss company operating in Hungary could be gained.
