On 22 November the Swiss Business Day took place for the fourth time. The theme of this year’s event was “Innovation and Talent”.

With this year’s topic „Innovation and Talent“, the focus was on one of the most important themes concerning the Hungarian economy: retaining and recruiting labor and talent management. For this reason, the event was broadened by a job fair for the first time this year.

The event was opened with speeches held by Dr. István Béres, President of Swisscham Hungary, Dr. Peter Burkhard, Swiss Ambassador to Hungary, and Dr. Nicolas Brühl, Deputy State Secretary responsible for Europe, Central Asia, the Council of Europe and the OSCE in the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. To conclude the opening ceremony, Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, held a speech emphasizing the impact, which Swiss companies operating in Hungary have on the Hungarian economy. The afternoon program included thematic forums on topics like innovation, HR and education.

The event was organized by the Swisscham Hungary with the underlying support of the Swiss Embassy in Budapest and the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency HIPA. With the support of Switzerland Tourism, Swiss International Air Lines and Lausanne Tourisme, one happy visitor won a trip for two to Switzerland.
