Dr. Archana Sharma, Principal Scientist Physics Department at CERN in Geneva, is an Indian experimental physicist and a staff member of CERN since 1987. During more than 20 years of work at CERN, she has acted as a strong Indian connection with the activities of the CERN. She is the only Indian scientist who was involved in the path-breaking discovery of Higgs Boson particle in 2012. Author and co-author of over 600 publications, Dr. Sharma will give a very interesting talk titled “Adventures of a particle physicist and why you should care!” within the framework of the mega science exhibition by CERN.

The talk will be followed by the presentation and prize awards for the winners of the Swiss Science Slam contest organized by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Mumbai in cooperation with Swissnex.
