International cooperation between regional and local governments forms a crucial part of Switzerland’s bilateral relations with Japan. It was thus an honor for Markus Reubi, Deputy Head of Mission, to welcome a group of researchers from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Embassy of Switzerland in Japan and discuss possibilities to further strengthen bilateral ties on the regional and local levels. The visitors also took a tour of the Embassy and informed themselves on our outreach campaign “Doors to Switzerland” in the run-up to the 2020 Olympic Games.
