Working Visit of the Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces to Korea

The Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Thomas Süssli, paid a working visit to the Republic of Korea from 22 to 23 September 2025.

During his visit, he met with General Kim Myung-soo, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Korea, for discussions focused on the security situation on the Korean Peninsula and the development of the armed forces.

Lieutenant General Süssli also visited the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission (NNSC), where five Swiss officers are deployed, as well as the Joint Security Area in the Demilitarized Zone. At the United Nations Command (UNC) headquarters, he held in-depth talks with senior representatives, including the UNC Commander, U.S. General Xavier T. Brunson.
