Federal Councilor Ignazio Cassis met with his counterpart from the Republic of Korea, Foreign Minister Park Jin, at the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland on January 18. The year 2023 marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and the Republic of Korea.
The World Economic Forum, also called the Davos Forum named after the Swiss city where the event is held, brings together leaders and experts from around the world to discuss the most pressing global challenges and opportunities of our time. This year's theme of the annual forum is "Cooperation in a Fragmented World." www.weforum.org
The meeting kicks-off a series of exchanges and events to celebrate 60 years of friendship between the two countries.
