This program, which is executed by the World Bank, aims to make the transfer of remittances, i.e. the money that is sent home by migrants, cheaper, safer and more convenient. This will result in an increase of the available resources for migrants and their families and in an increased usage of formal transfer channels and basic financial services.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Gjakova with KfW

With this project, SECO entered the domain of wastewater treatment by cofinancing the construction of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Gjakova with KfW.
Kosovo Inter-Ministerial Water Council (2013-2020)

The Kosovo Inter-Ministerial Water Council (IMWC) aims at integrating water issues in the Kosovo Government development policies. The project supports the "IMWC Support Project Team", which will elaborate policies and reform processes, propose them to the IMWC and support the implementation process of the approved tasks.

The project aims to improve the country's invesmtent climate, to stimulate FDI and to reduce compliance costs for businesses. Activities focus on the regulatory and policy framework and on streamlining administrative procedures. The project is implemented by the International Finace Corporation (IFC).
