Building national disaster reduction systems and management capacities in Lebanon
Project completed
UNDP provides assistance to the Government of Lebanon to set up and strengthen the disaster risk reduction unit based in the Prime Minister’s office. In the first phase of this project, which started effectively in January 2010, the focus was on initiating a framework at the National level. On the other hand, Phase II will finalize the work done previously and will target sectoral and regional/ local levels with a particular concentration on capacity building focusing on highly vulnerable groups.
