IME is a programme of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, implemented by the lead partner Swisscontact, in cooperation with the local partner Preda Plus. The first phase of this programme is being implemented from 2015 to 2019 with a budget of 6.25 million Swiss franks.

The Programme is focused on providing systemic changes that will lead to decent employment or self—employment and higher income, especially for young men and women.

The expected key results of the programme is to create more than 2,000 direct and indirect jobs and increase the net income of more than 1,000 SMEs by 1.5 Million Euros over a period of 4 years.

The programme operates in five subsectors of the economy: tourism, IT, product design, organic agriculture and sustainable building. In cooperation with the private sector it will work on improving the opportunities for increased access to international, regional and domestic markets, product design, and access to finance and skilled labour in order to enable enterprise growth.
