The Safer Migration (SaMi) project will contribute to decreasing the socio-economic and psychosocial costs by building the migrants’ knowledge about the migration process and their rights and by providing legal and psychosocial support to those who were victimized in the migration process. SaMi aims at increasing the benefits of migration by providing skills trainings for potential migrants especially to people from poor and socially discriminated groups (DAG) of Khotang district. The Government of Nepal together with civil society partners will be supported to identify a strategy to better implement the Foreign Employment Act (FEA).
