The organizer invites designers, graphic artists, folk artists, craftsmen and all interested parties to participate in the national competition, entitled "Pattern from Podkarpacie". We are interested in both patterns and ornaments based on traditional motifs from mountain and foothill areas of Podkarpackie Province, as well as those newly created, but based on the rich and diverse heritage of the region. Works can be submitted in the form of digital images or in any traditional techniques.

Regulations, in Polish language, are available on the project website: www.alpykarpatom.pl and at the Foundation's headquarters, ul. Rynek 7, 38-500 Sanok.

The works will be used to create a book version of the catalogue presenting a wealth of Podkarpacie patterns, promoting the region and the creators – the authors of the collected motives.

The competition is one of the promotional activities of Promotion Agency of Mountain Areas of Podkarpacie, under the project "The Alps for the Carpathians", implemented by the Carpathian Foundation - Poland, co-financed by Switzerland under the Swiss program of cooperation with the new EU member states.
