Organized in partnership with the National Bank of Romania and held under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania, the event is the most extensive project in the series of events dedicated to this anniversary and offers a journey through the past, present, and future of relations between Switzerland and Romania, centered on the Watch — a symbol of Swiss excellence and of the values that have defined the ties between the two countries over time: continuity, trust, responsibility and innovation.
Visitors will be able to discover exceptional historical pieces, including watches that belonged to the Royal Family of Romania, diplomatic documents relevant to the history of bilateral relations, as well as contemporary creations and innovative concepts that illustrate the evolution of Swiss watchmaking.
In addition to the exhibition, the program includes interactive demonstrations, meetings with industry experts, and a series of masterclasses for those interested in exploring the world of watchmaking from historical, technical, and cultural perspectives. Kultho will present “Watchmaking – The Story of Time”, the Romanian Academy of Watchmaking (ARC) will host “150 Pieces. One Watch. Welcome to the Watchmaking Workshop!”, and Albini Prassa will host the session “Watches for Romania: Then and Now,” dedicated to the relationship between the Romanian market and the major Swiss watch manufacturers over the past century.
