The Swiss-Romanian Chamber of Commerce hosted the official launch of the Alliance for Dual Education in Romania, at the New Europe College in Bucharest, also known as the "Swiss House", in the presence of high-level representatives of public authorities, diplomatic missions as well as private sector. This Alliance supports an education system directly linked to the needs of the real economy, by training new generations of professionals, increasing Romania’s competitiveness, and attracting foreign investments through the development of skilled human capital.

This newly established Alliance for Dual Education will serve as a national platform for dialogue and cooperation, aiming at support the coherent implementation of dual education in Romania and serving the interests of the students.

As the initiator of this Alliance for Dual Education, the Swiss-Romanian Chamber of Commerce promotes the belief that the development of skilled human capital requires direct collaboration between the educational sector, the business community, civil society, and public institutions. The Alliance was established through the joint efforts of a core group of founding partners, thereby demonstrating that the development of dual education requires shared responsibility and a strong partnership.

Present at the event, H.E. Massimo Baggi, Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Romania, emphasized:

“For decades, the Swiss model of dual education has demonstrated that a close partnership between the private sector, educational institutions, and public authorities leads to a competitive workforce adapted to the modern economy. Switzerland actively supports the development of this system in Romania, including through the second Swiss contribution, which allocates significant resources to strengthening and promoting dual education. Investing in skills means investing directly in people and in a country’s long-term prosperity.”

By participating as a founding member of the Alliance, the Swiss-Romanian Chamber of Commerce sends a clear message: dual education is not merely an educational priority, but a strategic investment in Romania’s economic and social future!
