Results

Results from previous phases:

Millions of people were supported with humanitarian aid (shelter, food, earthquake-resistante housing); got access to clean drinking water & sanitation; were empowered to improve their wellbeing by means of trainings in hygiene, sustainable agricultural, human rights or gender; were supported to make their communities less vulnerable to shocks and shifts stemming from natural hazards or conflicts; and were supported in their struggle to get their voices heard by their own governments.

On a conceptual level, CARITAS has integrated the objectives of Humanitarian Aid, Development Cooperation and Disaster Risk Reduction into a overarching framework and stepped up its engagement in climate change adaptation and mitigation.
