The tram with “good vibrations” will be used for the purpose of promotion of institutional culture and cultural activities of all City’s municipalities. Andrea Radulovic stated that this project will have continuity and each month it will present a new cultural topic of the City of Belgrade.

  • Our wish is to have more of these trams and to show how proud we are of the culture that our capital owns. This project showed how crucial it is to work as a team. GSP’s employees turned this tram into a cultural manifestation, as seen in other world’s metropolis – she pointed out and expressed a gratitude to the Swiss Confederation who donated this tram to the City transportation company “Belgrade” in 2002.

Milkovic stated that this is a small contribution of the City transportation company to the City of Belgrade in order to better the quality of life in the City, as well as the conditions of those employed in the culture field.

  • Besides being a culture tram, this is also an imagination tram. Anything that we can think of, which is in line with the promotion of the City of Belgrade and its citizens, may come true. This idea is realized with zero dinars invested; only effort and engagement of the employees of GSP – highlighted Milkovic.

This promotion is related to SECO supported project “Trams for Belgrade”. The 15-year long initiative has started in 2001 and will last until 2016. A total of 114 tram vehicles are planned to be donated from Basel to Belgrade in order to improve the quality of the public transportation system. As a result, the Swiss trams will make up 30% of all GSP’s railway vehicles. The main project partners are Public Transportation Company GSP and the City of Belgrade.
