Guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia, H.E. Anne Lugon-Moulin. Speakers highlighted the strong ties between Switzerland and Serbia, built over 35 years of development cooperation and mutual trust, and through 110 years of diplomatic relations.
The event gathered representatives of the Serbian and Swiss governments, international partners, civil society, and the private sector, emphasizing the importance of partnership in advancing reforms and improving citizens’ quality of life. After the official ceremony, guest had an opportunity to network in an informal setting, to visit marketplaces of selected projects, as well as to see a photo exhibition capturing activities of the Swiss-supported interventions in Serbia.
The Swiss Cooperation Programme for Serbia 2026–29 is a continuation of the long-standing engagement in support of Serbian reform agenda. As a sign of its commitment to the Swiss-Serbian partnership, Switzerland has been uninterruptedly present in the country since 1991. Until now, the financial support amounts to CHF 650 million, with CHF 88 million for the period 2026-2029. Switzerland will stay committed and continue to further support Serbia’s reform processes for the well-being of its citizens.
