The Embassy of Switzerland is pleased to be involved in the first cultural collaboration between Singapore, Italy and Switzerland.

On 18 August, Chargé d'affaires a.i. Ms. Emi Georgieva attended together with Italian Ambassador Paolo Crudele the signing ceremony between Nanyang Technological University in Singapore (NTU) and the Swiss-based Fellini Foundation. This cooperation agreement between the two institutions will see the implementation of a series of cultural activities and exchanges. This important project will open a cultural cooperation in cinema studies related to the renowned Italian film director, Federico Fellini (1920 – 1993), between Singapore, Switzerland and Italy.

 This collaboration will include:

•           An exhibition on Federico Fellini and the Circus opening in November 2015 at the Art, Design and Media Gallery (NTU) as part of a larger exhibition about the Italian maestro that will continue through early February 2015. For the first time in Asia, important original documents about the famous Italian movie director will be presented.

 •           A PHD course on Fellini by ADM to commence in January 2016. The Fellini Foundation will provide important research materials for the course.

 •           The transfer of the Fellini Foundation digital library to the ADM Library, in order to create a research area dedicated to Fellini`s documents.

 •           Collaboration on the development of cultural internet sites.

About the Fellini Foundation

The Fellini Foundation for film, established in 2001 in Sion, owns the largest collection in the world related to Federico Fellini and thousand other directors. These 15,000 documents, including drawings, photographs, scripts, letters, posters, artifacts, costumes, production stuff and press releases, were presented by the Fellini Foundation in fifty exhibitions and events in Switzerland and abroad. The Fellini Foundation not only aims at valorizing Fellini’s work but also creating relationships between cinema, literature, photography, architecture and music.
