The German Film Festival 2018, “The Little Witch” (Die kleine Hexe)

Sunday, 28.10.2018 – Sunday, 04.11.2018
Movie

The Embassy is pleased to present, in partnership with the German Film Festival 2018, “The Little Witch” based on the famous novel “Die kleine Hexe” by Otfied Preussler at Golden Village, Plaza Singapura Sundays, 28th of October and 4th of November . A co-production between Switzerland and Germany and directed by Swiss born Michael Schaerer, this children’s movie was just release in January 2018. “The Little Witch” received Best Cinematography award at the Bavarian Film Awards 2018. The little witch (Karoline Herfurth) has a big problem: She is only 127 years old and therefore much too young to dance with the other witches on Walpurgis Night. That’s why she secretly sneaks up on this most important of all witch festivals. As punishment, she must memorise all the spells from the great magic book within a year and show everyone that she is a good witch. But diligence and ambition are not really her strengths and, on top of that, the evil witch Rumpumpel (Suzanne von Borsody) is in her way. Rating: PG Language: German with English subtitle
