South Sudan, IOM: CCCM in Unity and Upper Nile
The scale and protracted nature of displacement at PoC sites in South Sudan is unprecedented in UN history. As a result of the high influx to the PoC sites and increased need for humanitarian response, the CCCM Cluster, co-led by IOM, needs to further scale up and strengthen the response of partners to provide lifesaving assistance and protection to IDPs living in displacement sites.

| Background |
Since December 2013, violence and food insecurity have displaced nearly 2.27 million people, including approximately 1.64 million people who remain internally displaced and left millions more in need of humanitarian assistance. Approximately 200’000 people have sought protection in PoC sites. The continuous flow of new arrivals places great stress on already stretched humanitarian service provision. |
