Yvonne Baumann, currently head of mission in Jakarta, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Colombia.
Kurt Kunz, currently head of mission in Bogotá, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN), based in Jakarta.
Olaf Kjelsen, currently ambassador to the Principality of Liechtenstein and head of cross-border cooperation at the Europe, Central Asia, Council of Europe, OSCE Division (ECACOD) of the Directorate of Political Affairs in Bern, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Hellenic Republic.
Heinz Walker-Nederkoorn, currently head of mission in Colombo, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and permanent representative of Switzerland to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), based in The Hague.
Hanspeter Mock, currently head of mission in Buenos Aires, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives, based in Colombo.
Heinrich Schellenberg, currently head of mission in Riyadh, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Argentine Republic.
André Schaller, currently consul general in New York (with the title of ambassador), will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Pierre-Yves Fux, currently head of mission in Ljubljana, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Cyprus.
Denis Knobel, currently head of mission in Sofia, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Slovenia and to the Holy See, based in Ljubljana.
Muriel Berset Kohen, currently head of mission in Algiers, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Bulgaria.
Salome Meyer, currently head (with the title of ambassador) of Diplomatic Advisory Services at the Presidential Affairs Unit of the Federal Chancellery in Bern, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Canada and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, based in Ottawa.
Bernardino Regazzoni, currently head of mission in Paris, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the People's Republic of China, to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and to Mongolia, based in Beijing.
Livia Leu Agosti, currently Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements (with the title of ambassador) and head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER) in Bern, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco, based in Paris.
Giancarlo Kessler, currently head of mission in Rome, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris and head of the Swiss delegation to the OECD.
Rita Adam, currently head of mission in Tunis, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Italian Republic, the Republic of Malta and the Republic of San Marino, based in Rome.
Etienne Thévoz, currently head of mission in Doha, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Tunisia.
Edgar Dörig, currently head of mission in Santiago de Chile, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the State of Qatar.
Geneviève Federspiel Singh, currently head of international cooperation in Tegucigalpa, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Haiti.
Jürg Lindenmann, currently deputy director (with the title of ambassador) of Division I (Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Diplomatic and Consular Law) of the Directorate of International Law in Bern, will become the new ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary and permanent representative of Switzerland to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
Markus Börlin, currently ambassador and permanent representative of Switzerland to the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, will become the new consul general in New York. To allow him to carry out this new function, the Federal Council has conferred on him the title of ambassador.
