The Kaohsiung Film Festival (KFF) is back for its 20th year, showcasing a diversity of film selections under the theme “Time Voyage”. Taking place from 16th October to 1st November at different venues in Kaohsiung, the KFF is inviting the audience to travel through time with screenings varying from feature films, short films, animations to VR programs.

5 Swiss productions were selected by the Festival. As part of special retro screenings is “La Belle Noiseuse” by Jacques Rivette. Another Swiss feature length scheduled for screenings is “Lovecut” by Iliana Estañol and Johanna Lietha which follows six teenagers in their search for love, relationships and their own identities. The movie was reviewed by Uncut as “Full of energy, intimate, sincere. A thoroughly authentic representation of generation Z”.

Besides the above, 2 Swiss shorts are competing in the KFF “International Short Film Competition” category: “All Cats Are Grey in the Dark” by Lasse Linder and “Why Slugs Have No Legs” by Aline Höchli. Another Swiss short “The Little Bird And The Bees” by Lena von Döhren will be showcased under family animation section.
