The Shanghai International Art Festival invited Situation Rooms’ set designer Dominic Huber to give a presentation about the Situation Rooms project at the festival’s Forum. Working with a network of directors, sound and light designers as well as performers, Dominic Huber develops a variety of productions from immersive installations, documentary theatre projects to more classical stage productions as a set designer, director or producer. Initially, Situation Rooms came out for the Ruhrtriennale 2013 and is ever since touring around the world from Germany, Greece, France, Australia, Switzerland (Zurich and Lausanne) to Latvia and further on. Apart from an upcoming tour in North America there is considerable interest from Asia - especially Japan where the project was awarded the Japan Media Excellence Award - and now China.
