A Musical and Dance Extravaganza Spanning Three Continents!

The 2026 Taiwan Francophonie Month officially kicks off with a spectacular evening event blending music, dance, and multicultural energy, inviting audiences on an artistic journey spanning the Indian Ocean, Europe, and the Caribbean.

This opening gala brings together outstanding artists from Réunion, Belgium, and Haiti, showcasing the rich diversity and cultural allure of the Francophone world through music and dance.

The Belgian electro soul | Pierre Hujoel(胡月)

A pianist and electronic musician who divides his artistic life between Brussels and Taipei, Pierre Hujoel blends classical music, techno, and sounds inspired by video games from the 1980s and 1990s.

Through performances in Chinese, French, and English, he offers a poetic, dreamlike, and gentle musical journey.

Haitian Dance | Association des Ressortissants Haitiens à Taiwan (ARHT)

Founded in 2014, the Association des Haïtiens à Taïwan (ARHT) actively promotes Haitian cultural heritage. During this evening, it will present the traditional Konpa dance, rhythmic and expressive, embodying all the warmth, energy, and cultural richness of the Caribbean.

The Voice of Réunion | Mounawar

Songwriter and singer Mounawar draws inspiration from the Twarab tradition of the Comoros, which he blends with Afro Funk and Mgodro sounds.

Having created and traveled across five continents, he incorporates rock, blues, and funk influences into his music, giving rise to a powerful soundscape carried by the mesmerizing rhythms of the Indian Ocean.
